Pre-Order Borealis Medusa 500m Lugless Diver Watch

Have seen recent Pics on other social media platforms, and must say, this design does not excite me, and I would pass on this one. The main reason is the case, I do not like how the bottom flares out on the wrist, also the dial and hands are very plain, and not unique IMHO. I hope the Oceanaut is given priority, that design looks special, the different Bronze mixture, sandwich dial, and Lume look fantastic, but I hope you loose the case side Cuts.

Would it not be better to show the different prototypes here, on the forum ?

It would provide a chance for more people to view them and decide, instead of only a limited number who might come across them otherwise ...

I am sure the interest has already been created here in this thread, and most are anxiously awaiting the prototypes.

I have seen a few on another forum, and like what I have seen so far, so was wondering why it was so quiet here, and on FB, regarding news on the Medusa !!!

Regards,
Reason for it is that our top priority at the moment is to deliver the Borealis Sea Storm.

Only after it is delivered we will talk in more detail about the Medusa, the Portus Cale and the Oceanaut (this one in production).

For the Medusa to go ahead we will need to have interest from many collectors otherwise project won't go ahead. We make watches with passion but more importantly have a family to feed something many forget when criticizing.

No criticism from me at all, Maria ...

Just felt that the prototypes should be getting some exposure over here, on the Forum first, since the interest has already been created !

Really hope the Medusa materializes ... this would make the second time it will be put on hold ...

The Medusa is looking good !

The No-Date version looks much more balanced, but I really like the way the blue looks on bracelet ...

Overall, it seems to be a very versatile piece, looks great on leather, bracelets, rubber, and even mesh !

Really hope this makes it into production, as it is an interesting homage to a watch long gone ... and also something very different looking for the existing collection !

The specs are pretty nice, too !

Regards,

The photos above(Post 125) are the first I've seen of the back side of the Medusa. What is the purpose/function of the shallow cutouts in the case, the width of the bracelet and extending from the edge of the case inward to the case back? Unless there is a good reason for having them, I would like to see these cutouts removed before the watch goes into production(assuming that it does, of course). These cutouts are just places for WABI(ie. junk) to collect, IMHO.

The cutouts are there for construction reason. Otherwise cases have to be CNC made not stamped. Cost of each would increase about 40% if all CNC made making it economically unsound.

Waiting for pre-sale on the Medusa White dial blue bezel with the red seconds hand. Kinda wish there was an option to get dark hands with the white dial. Even blue hands, white dial, blue bezel and red seconds hand would look awesome!

Be aware not all presented colors will be available for pre-order as too many options increase production costs considerably.
