Just heard on another forum that there were no lug screwdrivers included in Scorpionfish black dial/modern hands package, as Maria had promised in posts (#309,370) of this thread.
Have any of you guys that have received your watches received the screwdrivers?
Yes,I got mine last week.

I did not receive the Hex head screwdrivers promised with my black Scorpionfish. What is the problem and why were they not included? One of these screws is sticking out from the case on the watch I received.

I would drop an e mail and in the mean time hit the hardware store.

I got mine last week. It was wrapped in brown paper so be careful not to pitch it.

FedEx tried to deliver my black with modern hands SF on Friday while I was on vacation. I had to wait until I was home yesterday to receive the package. That's one of the first times I had a reason to want to return from a great vacation.

I decided to take the easy route of putting it on a strap I had instead of adjusting the bracelet to fit. I snapped a quick pic this morning from my deck before driving to work.

I am thrilled with every aspect of this watch from the pre-order process, the frequent status updates on the build, the prompt delivery and the ultimate quality of the timepiece. I pulled out my 3.5x loupe last night and I couldn't find any flaws. This is a watch I am particularly proud to wear. Nice job, Borealis!!!

Those are fantastic pics DrewL and zumzum5150, particularly liking the Orange NATO (y) FYI only 45 of the BLACK dial/modern hands ended up making it past QC, so to those that have one, you won't see many around on other wrists ;)

Outstanding White dial/Plongeur and Orange NATO Mod ZumZum, looks fantastic, thanks for the idea.
I hope you don't mind if I copy you.

For those who didn't get the hex screwdriver, the required size is 1.5 mm. You should be able to get a 1.5 mm allan wrench at any hardware store. It will do the same job.

And she's landed ...

Definitely exceeded my expectations. Heck some of my pictures I took with my G3 in natural lighting look like they are renders. I actually have to work a video game convention next week in Seattle for our client. Guess which watch is coming with me :)

You hit it out of the park Maria. Very photogenic watch that is for sure...

I got my black dial, modern hands Scorpionfish on Monday, Aug. 17. It is running a consistent +4 sec./day over the first two days. One spec. I haven't seen before is the weight of the SF. I weighed mine, and it's 224.4 grams, with all the links. So it's hefty, but not the brick one might expect for a 2000 m watch. For those with small wrists, don't despair. Mine looks just fine on my 6.5 inch wrist. One problem I had, though, was the bracelet was slightly large even with all four removable links removed, and the micro adjustment on the clasp all taken in. This caused the case to cantilever off my wrist, on the down side. The following photos. show the problem, and my solution. Sorry about the repeats. I don't know why that happened!Borealis Scorpionfish 008.JPG Borealis Scorpionfish 008.JPG Borealis Scorpionfish on a Watchadoo 003.JPG Borealis Scorpionfish on a Watchadoo 003.JPG Largely for this reason, I put mine on a Watchadoo, and it looks great on that, too.

That's all well and good. But If it was supposed to be part of the "package", then it should have been included. No excuses...

Wasn't there a very small brown package inside with tools? If not please contact us via email and we will send you a kit.

There;'s lots of excuses, such as 'Oh heck, while packaging up a pile of watches to get them out ASAP I accidentally forgot to include the screwdrivers in a couple of them - I'll get them out to you ASAP, apologies'

EDIT : And there we go...

Out of curiosity.. Should the hex screws all be the same length? My set came with a short and long.

Likely assembly mistake as the long screw should couple to the short one on each top of case.
Both combinations work anyhow as the screws attach to case from each side for double security so watch works securely with both combinations.

Pre-order has been open for over 4 months ... At the moment we are processing pre-orders and likely won't be any left of the black version, in case there will will be one or two at most.

Received my black plongeur today. It's fantastic quality. Big congrats to Maria.
The hex tool is in a separate very small packet, not packed in the box. I believe many might have missed it, and perhaps tossed it out.
Anyway, my included tool was not very useful as it could not engage the screw properly. Best and safest to use a normal 1.5mm hex key.
The hex screws are one short and one long on either side.

BTW Maria, is it possible to get extra spare hex screws? would be nice to have a spare pair handy.
Thanks.

We have had some comments on the hex tools.

I have tested a few random ones and all work well. However as they are small in size requires some practice to engage it correctly to thread.

The problem is not with the tool itself but the size of the tool being small and for people with large / big fingers may prove to be more difficult to work with engaging tool in screw head.

The size of screws in watch head are 1.5mm allen keys and they can be easily sourced.

As for the ones interested we can sell replacement hex screws. For that contact us via email.
