This is sure looking SUUPPPPERRR HOT!!!
I'm now almost sure to be getting all three of the forthcoming models.

Batial for the winter, warmth from the bronze.
Estoril for the beach and the club this summer
Seafarer II for those tech dives and the looking bad ass...

Great! (except from my wife's point of view ;))

Maybe one day you'll go for FEP sealing orings.
I think no one is using them on watches by now.
These are Viton or Silicon OR encapsulaterd in a Teflon (PTFE) skin.

Check properties and you will easiliy understand that such a sealing will almost "last forever".
Operative temperature range -60°C to 205°C.
Very low gas permeability and very low compression set (low deformation needed).
Outstanding chemical and corrosion resistance.
Also it won't stick to any surface, even compressed, so it won't get damaged when removed.
The teflon coating will preserve elasticity of viton core so water resistance could be guaranteed even after many times the watch has been opened and closed....

As they can replace standard viton it would be nice to make a test (y)

Thanks for the heads up. We will consider this in future projects but not in the Estoril.

Maria will it be possible in the pre-order to order an Estoril with a black dial and blue bezel combination?
This would provide the same color combination as the Black Bay Tudor Blue of Basil 2014, a great choice for this watch IMHO.

Haha, luckily my wife will not recognize them between 30 Other wristhelds :) for her one looks like the other even at wrist. :)

Well, my wife doesn't really recognize most of my different watches either. But she sees the size of the total collection, then says "too many..... "

Hahaha, well my wife can't really tell the difference too, as I try to keep them looking more or less the same, but it will be a bit difficult to smuggle a big, blue dial, blue/orange bezel Seafarer ll under her radar, since most of mine are black dialled !!!

As a follow up on this I have checked with factory and PTFE coated o rings already are being used in watch industry. This is being used sometimes for sapphire bezel inserts but not on the case back.

This is due to material being more stiff so does not have enough elasticity to close case back making it more difficult for case back to be water resistant.

Viton gaskets are currently best that can be used for a watch case back gasket.

Great you deepen all these technical detail with your suppliers (y).
This shows a lot of interest and the will to further develop your products beyond commercial intents ;)... and that's not so common in watch industry :D.

Elasticity can be achieved by using empty core orings (third in pictures).
But that's not so required...sealing can be achieved with a lower compression set.
Example I've seen equipement for fluid dispensing using standard FEP OR over a metal manifold (4 screws fixed) and hoding over 240 bar pressures, while dispensing extremely aggressive and reactive products.

Apart from this Viton is for sure perfect for all of us (y)

Only noticed this watch there now and just read through all the many pages here on this forum. Looks like a fantastic watch. Sick of all the overly-large dive watches made these days, even homages seem to scale things up 10 to 12 percent on what they are paying homage to. So glad this is going to be so close to the original. Only occasionally dive now but do bring my watches along with me for the the love of it. No need for a watch so big on your wrist it negates the need for a weight belt!

Have never seen a Seamaster 300 in person but always loved seeing them on the web, great looking watch and always fancied getting a decent homage if one was ever made so looking forward to the Estoril 300. So many dive watches with only the first 15 minutes marked on the bezel which is no use to me. I'll settle for lost bezel minute markers at the numerals if the digits themselves substitute for them, what I mean is for example take the number "20" on the bezel. If the left hand edge of the "2" lines up with minute 19, the gap between the "2" and the "0" denotes the actual minute 20 and the right edge of the "0" denotes the 21st minute then this works well enough for me. I hope this works out close for the Estoril.

Another thing that's lost on a lot of modern diver watches is the bezel grip - some look great but with thick neoprene gloves on they're not very good. I have a Precista PRS-18 Royal Navy Homage watch and although at only 39mm, the bezel grip works well while actually diving - lets hope the RN heritage that the new watch is paying tribute to makes the Borealis work well there too.

I really hope the sapphire bezel insert isn't overly glossy looking.

I find the bezel gets a few unavoidable knocks, especially if used diving and is probably the most damage prone part from my watches. Would it be possible to purchase a spare bezel from the factory parts list at the same time as buying the watch to keep as a back-up? I know the insert is sapphire and scratch resistant but it can still shatter as it's brittle and the steel part of the bezel can get gouged. I do really look after my watches but it's really nice to have spares available if you're really particular about your watches - and if you're into watches then you are.

It's the black dial for me, no date. Just can't decide between the large triangle to keep it like the original (and lose a couple of minute markers either side of 12 o'clock) or go for the dial with the "12" at 12 o' clock and keep a few extra minute markers on the dial.

Love what's been achieved so far, many thanks.
