Funny but to me, it's the exact opposite. I'm not really a fan of the grey but the one thing that I really like about it is the black writing. I feel it's the one point making it more "refined", "classy", and less "in your face sporty".

Well a diver watch does not necessarily have to have a rotating bezel and lumed pip. Unless, that is, you can say that the Panerai abundantly used by the Italian navy divers was no diver... You won't be timing precisely any dive with a bezel nowadays, so why bother with criterion like that. And...

Yes. And to add to Maria's answer, it's not even the time that poses problem with watches having a date, it's only the position of the crank wheels. So basically for changing date, put the hands to 6h30 and adjust the date, then set the time and you'll never have a problem.

And, now that I think about it, a great way of cleaning that ceramic bezel insert is using a q-tip or a bit of toilet paper, soak them in alcohol and brush the insert with that... et voilà, all the finger oils are gone in a breeze. You might also take a shower with the watch on, put some soapy...

I love that! Only weak point is the retainer. A metal buckle might be better as it'll slide in and out more easily. And it could "balance" the buckler, too... Still, great match to the Scorpionfish!
