Pre-Order Borealis Adraga in CuSn8

I decided to try a thinner black strap for a change of pace. It looks great but the tang on the OEM buckle is too wide for the holes in this strap. Time to find another buckle in bronze or rose gold-122712281229

Mercedes hand does make it look like an explorer homage. I think sword style hands similar to seiko sarg009 would look great on this watch.

Any hands will be looked good except mercedes hand. I don't hate Mercedes hand but not on this watch. I personally prefer original baton hands because hours marks have frames to wrap around and that's why borealis chosed this metalic hands style. It's just my opinion and I think I will get what ever hands coming except Mercedes.

I was out of town for over a month and came home to find my Adraga type C waiting for me. Thank you for creating such a beautiful watch.

White lume isn't the brightest but looks really crisp and true to white in person.

Maria and Carlos have my vote for the stainless black and white dials to have the Mercedes hands. It would be fantastic to have a quality movement as well, e.g. 2824-2 or 9039/9015. In sum, I'm not an homage watch guy, but I know that Borealis can outdo all others with an Explorer homage. It would look and feel great on the wrist IMHO. There's something about the simplicity of the Explorer that makes an homage seem right; whereas, a GMT or Sub homage would feel so much less so.

I really dont know how you people keep your Adraga with a shiny cooper look. Mine is fully toned (patine) and there is no sign of shine other then on the inside (under glass).

PS - I have switched the original strap (that I always felt was too thick and did not match the watch size) with an Hirsch 22mm Liberty model. The store that sold it to me, punched new holes to take in the OEM buckle.IMG_20190514_135426.jpgIMG_20190514_135501.jpg

You can use cape cod polishing foil cloth or any other metal polish if you want to bring back shinny like new. Use micro fiber fabrics to avoid scratches. Cape cod on Amazon.

Yeah, I got me a cape cod polishing cloth from the same store I bought the strap. Curious to see the outcome given the current toning on my Adraga.

Mine has some patina but nothing like yours! I have Cape Cod polishing cloths but I've not touched it yet. Maybe it's because that I keep it stored in a watch box when I'm not wearing it, although I live near the sea (about 4 Km away) but currently I have 43% humidity inside the house.

Mine has become the true field watch look. Maybe won't use the cape cod for a while. I use it regularly and did travel to 90% humidity countries with it.
