Yes, 6mm thick sapphire. To increase water resistance and reduce height we changed case back to accommodate triple viton seals.
Wow, Maria, triple Viton seals now !
That's amazing ! Have never come across triple Viton seals before ! I have 2 watches with double Viton, my Scorpionfish and a Prescista PRS 19A, but this will be a first for me !
Actually, I kind of liked the 17.5mm before, nice and "beefy" ! HaHaHa, but I guess that's just me.

Looks and sounds really great.
Only question, does a triple viton gasket really offer better protection than a single or a double one? Does it work like the first one fails "a little" at XX meters, then the second one fails at more and they each "break the pressure" a little, so that the last one only fails at 4500m or something? Sounds weird and still it's the only way I see the triple thing help the max WR. Sure, I understand how it makes it three times less likely there's water ingress at a given depth, but increase that depth???
Anyway, not like we'll ever be submitting our watches to the type of pressures, apart maybe in test machines, for the sake of it...

This is from a 3000m bronze watch we are working on

Additional gaskets allow better expansion of metal under extreme pressure making watch more resistant at greater depths.

At beginning we only had 2 gaskets but now with 3 resistance will very much be improved as metal won't be touching metal avoiding deformations that could cause water to leak in.

Not sure why but never received the last few updates,up until this point was receiving them all,all of those variations look great though.

Nicely done Maria - love the updated renderings - watch looks amazing! As others have expressed, I appreciate how you use the feedback from forum members to modify/improve the various design elements. What a fantastic looking watch!

more info please!
That is already a bit off topic. The Batial will be presented when prototype is built and will be sold as is. It will be also a 3000m diver watch with total height of 13.50mm as already showed on technical designs with crown also made of bronze.

Will be a tribute to the now defunct Anonimo.

My my my...
Might well be the fifth Borealis in a row for me. Mmm... Let's wait and see...

Well damn. I was literally about to pull the trigger on the Magrette bronze vantage and decided to hold off completely now and wait for the Borealis Batial. I've always loved the Anonimo watches (all three of their collections) so a throwback to any one of those models will work for me. Especially at 44mm and with a 9015 movement. Exciting.....any ideas of estimated reveal on the prototype??

Back to the topic of this thread.......will you be showing a prototype of it before preorder time? I'm torn between the black/orange bezel with black dial or getting the black/orange bezel or black bezel with grey dial. I'm hoping to see the color of the orange and the production color of the grey before making my decision.
Maria, it seems this year you have found a way in to my wallet. SeaDragon, SF, I'll be getting two Estorils (blue arabic number no date and a black triangle date version), a SeaFarer II, and the upcoming Batial
(typing this wearing my SF white/plonguer)

So, it's great to know that these 3 watches will be spread out till around June 2016, according to Maria.
I was really under the impression that they would be coming out, in quick succession, over the next few months, around year end !
Funding is a WIS nightmare !!!

Pre-orders will start out soon for the 3 models but development of each will take a few months (aside from the bronze as we have been working on it for a few months already and therefore expect it to be ready during first quarter of 2016).

As for the Seafarer II and Estoril we will require till around June to have them ready as projects are still on a initial stage at factory.

Maria, are you planning any pre-order incentives for any of the 3 models? (note: I do not need any, was just wondering). Also, 2 of the 3 models releasing around June of next year, I am assuming the pre-order for these will last a while. Ideally I'd like to pre-order one at a time and space them apart by a few weeks each.

I'm with you on that. If I could spread the pre-orders, say one per month, then spread the final payments, one in early 2016 and the last two either together or, even better one in May and one in June or one in June and one in July... ;)
