Pre-Order Borealis Seafarer II 4000m Automatic Diver Watch

It seems to me that recently, many forum posts can be categorised into 1 of 3 types :

1) People complaining about the structure and eligibility of a bonus discount that is offered on top of an already very competitively priced pre order.

2) People asking questions that have been answered, often numerous times, in the preceding thread pages.

3) People trying to change some aspect of the design, despite multiple advisement's that the design is finalised.

Honestly, I don't know how Maria always responds in such a level manner. I'd have blown my stack by now if it was me.

As a side consideration - the sad irony is that if Maria had never offered the 15% discount, she'd probably have made almost as many sales with none of the grief. Also I reckon the new rubber straps should be $25-$30 - $15 is too cheap and implies that it is not as good as it actually is. Although I do agree with one of the earlier comments that any future ones should possibly not have Borealis engraved on the buckle (or at least be on the underseide) - limits its usage somewhat on other watches.
In the end, I think we all are going to appreciate and enjoy the new watch when it arrives.

Maybe, if there can be a FAQ section set up for all watch preorders questions, then this might alleviate some of the questions that keep coming up,

I really need this watch to hurry up and get here. Pre-ordering was supposed to hold me over knowing I had this coming, but now I can feel the itchy trigger finger again...sigh.

Well, its good to wait, plus I would rather have them take their time & get it all right, I know once they are happy it will be released with more info to follow, so we wait with smiles on our faces :)

The Borealis Scorpionfish is an awesome watch - wearing my white dial plongeur hands version today (I also have the black dial) - great watch that is in stock if you're considering pulling the trigger on another watch while waiting for the Seafarer II.

The only thing I can see any reason to complain about is that fact that there are no weak choices ,they are all great looking, not only in this model but all 3 pre-order sales going on,too much temptation clouds the brain.

How's the bracelet on the Scorpionfish? I'm wondering how the quality will be on the Seafarer II bracelet.

I imagine the bracelet may be more similar to that of the Seafarer I or Sea Hawk, but I'd still be interested in thoughts on quality. And I wonder if the clasp will ratchet.

Looks like the ratchet adjustable type to me.

120 clicks unidirectional sapphire bezel with BGW9 or C3 lume applied to indexes

I think the bracelet on the Scorpionfish is great - screws in links, ratcheting clasp. Very comfortable. I added Loctite to the screws just in case. On smaller wrists it seems some had an issue where there were not enough removable links to size down to fit comfortably. With the flat case, I think the bracelet drapes nicely over the wrist for a great fit - I'm very happy with it.

Agree with PennState, overall quality, and finish of bracelet on SF is nice, problem is if you have a wrist size of 7" or under, you cannot remove enough links to get a good fit, Maria has said that in the Seafarer II that has been corrected. The other issue with the SF bracelet are the lug screws, for some unknown reason they used 2 small (unloctited) screws in each lug side, that do not connect in the bracelet/band. So owners need to be alert for loosening lug screws, and if you wish to mod the watch with a leather, NATO, or other rubber band, you should consider using a connecting lug screw rod in the band for the needed stability. Hopefully a better Lug Screw design will be used in the Seafarer II, Maria cares about quality, so I'am sure she will address this issue.

The lug screws for the Scorpionfish are the way they are, two long and two short, because they are made originally for the L'ocean. This has been mentioned before.

The lume looks fantastic, Maria !
Is it just me, or do the hands look a bit thin, though ?
When can we see that bezel ???

Yes, they do look somewhat thinner compared to the rendering. Also, just wondering why the print on the grey dial is black when it's white on every other dial? I was thinking if the grey was lighter the black print would show up, but it seems the dial color is dark enough that the black print is barely visible. Maybe in real life it won't be this way.

Looks pretty good Maria, but the minute hand does look a bit thin compared to renderings, hope it is just the angle of the pic, or it can be corrected upon prototype evaluation.
