By TLex Here’re a few more pics of the Oktopus MoonLite from Linde Werdelin. Both its inner and outer cases are constructed from a specially developed colorless metal alloy, known as ALW (Alloy Linde Werdelin) -
the properties of which include a hardness that is double that of steel and a weight that is half that of Titanium, which makes this a pretty special watch and one that is by far and away the lightest diver that LW have produced with a total weight of just 62,5 grams.
The MoonLite is Limited to just 59 individually numbered pieces, worldwide. Its 44mm x 15mm colorless ALW case has a satin, polished and microbille finish.
It is fitted with a Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on its inside and a Titanium, satin and microbille finished crown with an engraved Oktopus icon. Water-resistance is 300m.
It boasts a 5 layer skeletonized dial with Réhaut and top layer circular satin finish, hands in Titanium-color with satin finish and lume. The lower dial has a luminent photo-realistic moon-phase with a blue full moon indicator all powered by a 23 jewel caliber with an LW in-house complication.
The watch is presented on a custom high-end white rubber strap that is interchangeable thanks to Linde Werdelin’s proprietary strap system.
This watch would look killer on a blue strap, I’ve never been a fan of white rubber (tbh). Its price is 18,000CHF.
