The Seastar 1000 Powermatic has a cool new look for 2020. Firstly the watch is now available with a new green or blue gradient dial in addition to the existing black.
Ref. T120.407.11.091.00 is green while ref. T120.407.11.041.02 is blue. Furthermore the watch is now available with new mesh-link bracelet.
Tissot are offering several Seastar 1000 models on mesh, these include these two Powermatic 80s plus a couple of Seastar Chrono Quartz models.
If you carefully at the mesh, you’ll notice that the links are in fact flat on top – no major revelation just we typically see rounded links. I think the flat ones look cleaner.
These two models are powered by Powermatic 80 movements which boast up to 80 hours of power reserve. However they are not the new Si equipped movements.
Basic spec. includes: a 43mm in diameter 316L Stainless steel case with 300 meters of water-resistance.
Further diver’s features include: unidirectional diver’s bezels with ceramic inlays, screw-down case-back and crown and of course the new Stainless mesh bracelet with diver’s security clasps.
Thoughts? Love the green, love the new mesh but that Seastar logo is a disaster, lose it and perhaps simply the WR text and imho the dial will look a lot better. But what do you think?
