Your thoughts on the new ISASWISS 8371 Quartz Chronograph Movement

I definitely prefer mechanical/auto movements as changing batteries and hurting the integrity of the water resistance is a major concern, however, if you are set on producing a Quartz movement product, please consider a quality solar movement, or at least a chrono that offers the chrono second hand as a subdial, and therefore keeping the traditional perpetual second hand.
Thanks again for allowing us our thoughts in your planning.

Out of curiosity, what problems have any of you had with ISA movements? My son has one in one of his watches and it seems very nice. Thanks...

I generally view the entire watch and not just the movement. If a watch appeals to me, movement becomes secondary. Of course I look at price point; if a quartz seems overpriced I won't be interested.

I must agree with many others about automatic and mechanical movements. Those are the only watches I will purchase. And I am currently in the process of selling off my older watches with quartz movements.

I do like the easy, convenience of quartz but most of my watches are automatic, I've only very recently starting to accept quartz/ chrono movements.

However its a BIG IF, AND I RARELY have quartz or chrono watch that I'm actually willing to buy, I mostly find the dials to be too cluttered.

But if you were to pursue a quartz can you make a solar chrono? or the quartz precisionist movement from Bulova with the sweeping second hand.
