A look at the Porto Santo prototypes

Hey everyone,

I'm obviously a good customer and fan of the brand, so they trust me with their prototypes. With that said and because of that, I'm mainly gonna start with some pictures I took today of the blue one without doing much of a real review. I wouldn't want anyone to feel I'm overhyping it like I've seen recently with a parade of 40mm sub homage reviews, creating unrealistic expectations with only praises. That's not me.

This one will be loved by some of us and hated by many more. I won't mind if you hate it and decide to express why. I'm excited to share this regardless.

Kinda crazy how I only used to come to watchuseek to buy, sell and trade preowned watches until I discovered the forums, especially this Dive Watches. Fast forward to now having the honor to show this with the world from a non-blogger, non-reviewer perspective who's admittedly easy to please and amuse, according to my wife.

The finish is superb and it's a few notches above the Maranez Layan and Benarus Moray I had but I'm no expert. It just looks more expensive. I don't think it can be called cushion case because it's quite boxy so maybe it's a hybrid ? No clue what label to put on it and don't think it'll matter.

I went with blue because it contrasted well with what I was wearing earlier but I still don't know which I prefer between the two. I'll post the black dial ASAP, on comment line.

These are my own straps because the OEM ones aren't long enough for me.

Don't expect powerful lume but here it is:

With my favorite photo bomber of all time, on my 8.3in wrist

Personal note, it has a lot of presence so unless you like 44-45mm pieces, I suggest not getting this one. While being super comfortable on the wrist, it wears true to its .44mm size, IMO. Maybe closer to 45mm due the case design but the skinny or skeleton lugs help it look not as big.

Feel free to ask me anything and I'll reply ASAP. This is a lot of fun for me so you won't bother me one bit with any questions.

Huge thank you to Maria and Carlos for this opportunity and all this fun.

Thanks for your time,
Luis

Looks wonderful!!!
Thanks for the pics, I was borderline having buyers remorse on this one and really was on the verge to send a mail to change for the black version... But you've got me settled, I'm happy with having ordered the blue one!!!

The only thing is, I really hope that the straps on the production versions will be longer, since I have a much smaller wrist than you, but at 8" it's still probably going to be short-ish if you find it too short for you!

Big congrats ! I'm glad you like it ! I think they'll fit you on the last hole, not sure but any 24mm straps will fit on it. I tried it on .grey canvas with orange stitching, Borealis orange abs blue rubbers already also.

And here's the other version on Wearwatch canvas

Fingers crossed for the strap then. But again I have a few leather straps in 24mm laying around so I should be fine. I still find the looks of the Borealis strap is neat and the buckle looks great. But I suppose I can mount it on any straight 24mm strap.

Love this watch and ordered the safer of the two models imo.
I'm strap mad and have 3 Custom on order. Say it will be a joy to change the look. Thanks for the honest review.
