I have what I think you would consider "fashion watches" (sorry). I got some Fendi watches as a gift several years ago, but a couple of them stopped keeping time and so I replaced the batteries. I didn't wear them for a few months and saw they had stopped again. I am guessing that the mechanisms inside have reached the end of their life because I don't think that they are self-winding, just strictly battery-powered.
If this is the case and the internals have died, will the watch repairmen replace the mechanisms on them? They have sentimental value because of who I got them from so I would like to get them working even if they aren't the best timepieces around.
