As with all watches it is impossible to please all. Idea of the Estoril 300m is to be as vintage looking as possible to we will keep bezel markers.

A Blue version may be considered after designs are closer to a final stage.

Not a big fan of DLC on this design. I understand the old version had all the bezel minute ticks, but what if you kept them thru 20 min. marker and left them off the remainder of bezel (keeping markers every 5 min.), a more modern bezel I guess. This reminds me of the Ball Skindiver (which I owned and sold) with the busy bezel.

Also still thinking about a blue dial/bezel version ;).

It's not a question of "modern looks" but of actual use when diving (or really timing stuff in general). You either don't need a timing bezel or need it to be accurate to the minute. For better even accuracy, a chronograph is a god sent, but... more expensive and "riskier" in terms of water ingress if you want to be using the chrono under water.

Looking good! Can't wait to see more details. Are the bezel markings and numerals going to be lumed?

I imagine with the bezel fully lumed, you probably don't need the numerals on the dial to be lumed but good enough to have the hour and minute markings on the dial lumed.

Or even just the major minute markings (5, 10, 15, etc...) lumed on the dial might be enough.

In terms of aesthetics and lume application that is the best option for the dial. We want to use very thick lume indexes (thicker and stronger than for instance as used in the Sea Hawk) and for it to work lume area has to be large enough to accommodate layers.

As for the bezel side view we will make it as close as possible to the vintage Omega SM300 reference166.024

Photo is from my husbands watch. As for crystal will have a slightly distinct look as instead of acrylic we will use double domed sapphire.

Also for lugs we will feature drilled lugs making it easier with strap changes.

Yep, in terms of dial lume, I think the best option would be to have the indices lumed and the 3-6-9 numbers simply painted white... Which indeed calls for a white lume, methinks, for coherence.

Lookin' great. This will look phenomenal on nato, rubber, or mesh.

My one comment on the dial is the text. Would you consider having it double lined on the bottom portion of the dial? Instead of having Estoril 300m on one line, maybe look in to doing Estoril on one line and 300m on another line.

Also, any consideration for engraving of model or reference number between lugs?

I'm really looking forward to seeing this come to life. You'll get a guaranteed pre-order outta me.

You mean to engrave serial number between lugs? I suppose that won't be an issue with factory. However this would mean that serial number will be part of the case instead of case back.

serial number isn't a bad idea but I do like that on the case back. I was thinking will your Estoril have a digitized reference number (similar to Rolex 5517,5513,etc). that would be nice engraved in between lugs. If not, it isnt a necessity and might just add more to the production.

I don't like the missing minute marks on either side of the bezel numbers. A design more like the Sea Dragon would accommodate all the minute markers.

I would like to see the inverted triangle, at 12 on the dial reduced in size with a 12 added under it. The dial would then have a 3,6, 9 12 symmetry.

Looking better everyday, Maria !
Everything looks good so far, and especially love the bezel side view and the fact that it will have drilled lugs ....
Only thing out is the 3 in the 30 in bezel font. Looks too hard and stiff ! Should be similar to the 3 on the dial.
So will there be a date or not ?
And so, is the lume still vintage or BGW9 ?
