i didn't want date on mine, but with this rendering, i actually want mine with date.

looks amazing... straight fuego.

im not sold on some members opinion on the balance of date placement at 6 vs 3... just in terms a visual ascetics date placement at 3 seems more pleasing to the eyes.
its less clustered without "Estoril 300m" having to be right above the date. perhaps at 6 there is some balance in terms of visual weight, but ascetically its a bit too much with the name of the watch plus date... just my 2 cents.

Hi all
This looks like a watch I would buy and wear I like the big triangle at 12 and the date should be at 3 but if any aesthetic change is made I believe the bezel insert would be much better in ceramic. I wore a SM300 for many years and still have a deep love of the look, mostly based on nostalgia. The problem with sapphire and the original acrylic was de lamination, I've had it happen with modern attempts to recreate the old look and with the original, in fact the plastic insert on my Squale 101 just went missing on a dive. I haven't seen the thickness mentioned and I hope it isn't over 12mm.

Sorry to be late to the party. Sounds like an interesting project! I haven't read every post, but I would second those who want a bracelet. I do understand a bracelet would up the price point.

I will follow with interest.

Our requirements on levels of finish, materials used, quality controls have nothing to do with Parnis. Case you refer to is used by replicas of the Planet Ocean something we do not allow discussion to safeguard our forum.

These renderings look really nice. But the 6 O'Clock date is starting to make things like a bit too much like the Precista PRS 3, as opposed to the SM300

IMHO the original renderings with the triangle at 12 and date (with black background) would look best and be my choice! Would not mind if the M in front font were taken out, but either/or would suffice for me! Would like to know if Maria might have an idea as to what she thinks the over all thickness of case would be, as previous poster has already enquired?

I have to agree with many, my favorite version is the 12 at 12 o'clock with the white numeral on black date at 3.
I also hope that maybe 2 classy style Nato/Perlons can be provided with pre-order (black, grey), and possibly offering an affordable Mesh as an option.

We still do not know yet what the thickness is but will be the minimum possible without compromising water resistance. We will only work on technical designs after the dial, bezel hands are finalized.

Hopefully this can start next week as it is now almost agreed:

  • text on dial Estoril 300m to be changed to Estoril 300
  • removing the underscore in dial for numbers
  • the 3 on the 30 of bezel to be a round 3
  • 2 dial versions (big triangle and dial like mine with 12). Both with date and no date versions

I like it and the fact Maria is trying her best to satisfy everyone, which is a near impossible task!
