I just wanted to share with you a shot of my Borealis Sea Hawk, showing the prominence of the crystal.
It is a beautiful watch. The thick sapphire crystal and the matte ceramic bezel combine to give it a unique value proposition that differentiates it among other homages.
This is my second Borealis, the first being the Seafarer. Initially, I wasn't sure if I would want the Sea Hawk, or if it would have a place in my collection. The Seafarer was so much watch, that to add a Sea Hawk seemed redundant. Happily for me that I did decide to get one, and it's been on my wrist for the past several days.
One issue I have is that one of the end-links of the bracelet sits slightly higher on one side, therefore the side nearer to the crown isn't flush to the top of the case. It is as if one of the lug holes was higher than the other. It doesn't matter too much to me though, since being a strapaholic my preference is to use rubber straps on my Borealis divers, but I do think this merits being pointed out. It could very well be an isolated case.
All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'm looking forward to receiving the Borealis rubber straps next week, and I will also look forward to when Borealis makes available the extra bezels so I can customize my Sea Hawk to suite my mood.
