Prototype of the Borealis Estoril 300 almost ready. Photo taken by factory on an aftermarket strap.
Looks really great, I agree the vintage style domed crystal shape really makes it. Can't wait until the final product is ready! 
It looks like there is a small gap between the outer edge of the sapphire bezel insert and the edge of the bezel into which it sits. Is this intentional or is this because the watch is only still a prototype at the moment?

It is as per design. I am sure some flaws may exist with prototype but this is not one of them.Looks really great, I agree the vintage style domed crystal shape really makes it. Can't wait until the final product is ready!

Thanks. The gap I was referring to was to the left of the 45 minute marker on the insert. You can see what looks like a silver coloured gap but looking again this may just be an optical illusion because what is really happening is you are looking through the top surface of the sapphire insert and at the inner side surface. It's the inner side surface of the insert that's reflecting the light making the silvery reflection look like a gap.
Keep up the good work, looks like this will be a stunner.

Yeah, I think that's an optical illusion caused by light reflection. The insert has a sort of chamfer around it, and that reflects the light more directly.

Would luv to see a quality Perlon material NATO with a polished, Borealis engraved buckle, similar to the one that was supplied with the Tudor Black Bay Blue Watch. Total class, IMHO.
Is that a Timefactors nato strap ?
Looks like one of Eddie's, with those unique keepers.

300mm is on the long side. Anyway, I would have thought that NATO straps are cheap enough that people could easily customise with whatever look and size they want later on? Certainly strap is not a deal breaker on this project - the watch is the important thing.
