Hello everybody,
New to the forum but have spent most of my time at the WUS dive forum. Chewed through all 44 pages today. Congratulations to Maria, her team and all here who have contributed. Great collaboration and vision. I'm close to ordering an Estoril. I have been hankering for a sapphire bezel, 40mm, great lumed, 9015 watch. Seems to check the boxes! I guess I have a thing for classic RN watches. I have a gen 2 armida a2 who this would be a nice companion for.

I think I like the blue triangle no date. Though they are all lovely. It looks nice and dark like a sumo blue.

I think something that has held me back is that I'm not a nato guy so it's been harder to picture this watch on my wrist. I like that the cost is spared the strap bracelet so we can all choose. With that said I have been eyeing some options. Shark mesh looks awesome. I have also been eyeing up some simple rubber straps from BC and perlons. It's nudging me along. Though I could use some enabling.

While the grey/black Bond nato might be a bit cliche, as mentioned, this particular one that will come with the watch seems to be a bit different, texture and hardware-wise, to what we normally have or see around.
So, I feel it is a great choice for the Estoril. The normal blacks and grey natos are cheap and easily available, if this original with the watch is not to your liking. Just MHO ....

Personally I'm in favour of the black/grey striped 'bond.' It just suits this watch perfectly. Outside the WIS community they're not a common site. Take a look around the world as you go, be honest, how many NATOs do you actually see out there? Let alone 5 bar Bonds? I hope Maria sticks with it. I do have a timefactors new 'deluxe' strap waiting to try it on too. It's black with a grey edge only. It has blasted hardware though. Not ideal. I'm trying to find a good way to brush/polish it at home but honestly, I think I'll be sticking with the borealis original, in all it's shiny glory. :)

As the cost of nato straps are usually less than $5 and it is light weight enough for postage, maybe Maria can bundle both a clean black and a black/grey straps together, especially to those who preordered the black Estoril. Like wise for the blue Estoril.

Of course the decision to do so will be Maria's...

Sorry but this is not going to happen. There are many options in market for 20mm natos that collectors can purchase for their Estoril.

We are thinking of engraving is one of the keepers but can not confirm now as factory is closed for Chinese New Year. They resume work end of February. Almost a full month closed for festivities.

Hi Maria,

I am thinking about trying an after-market steel bracelet with my Estoril when I receive it. Since your husband has a vintage Omega Seamaster 300 and also you have a prototype Estoril - do you know if the Omega end links on the bracelet that fits your husbands watch also match up with the case shape and spring bar location of the Estoril?

Many thanks.

I've got an Endmill and a Mesh waiting for my two Estoril 300's! I confess, I really don't understand all the enthusiasm for NATO straps. Of course, I'm strictly a bracelet person, so I'm not intending to criticize all you NATO strap fans!

I would LOVE to see the blue prototype on mesh if at all possible. Quite likely will be the straw to break this Camels back!
Also Maria was very helpful answering my many questions by email today.
