Borealis Scout Sniper 300

Word......
Rugged yet Sporty ;)
You are sooo right Eric, that best describes this watch, "Rugged yet Sporty", but one can also add "Value" when compared to a the cost of a Marathon watch, and yet, it has a wee bit, touch of "Elegance", brought on by the beautiful 24mm chrome and brushed stainless steel band, but, if one does not like or want the "Elegance", a simple change of the band to a rubber/silicon one, and that will enhance the "Rugged yet Sporty" look even more, I know, I've done it.
Enjoy your watch, I do.

Nice and hefty! Does it still wear pretty comfortable for its size? How does the weight feel all day? Thanks.

Lighter than my MoVas GMT Diver or the Boschett Cave Dweller I used to own but not than my Oris Titan Chrono...but it is the most comfy of all of them. Something about the weight vs size...seems just right

Yes Eric, comfy is the word, I don't feel mine on.

If I could only keep one watch, this would be my keeper.
Why some of you may ask? Here are "My" reasons.
I like the classic clean lines.
Yet, I still like the gear-like bezel, seen from the side angle.
I love how comfortable it is, I can wear it all night.
(I sleep naked with just my watch) :)
Tritium gives me the ability to ALWAYS be able to clearly read it, even in pitch darkness.
I love the wide 24mm metal band, a band that does Not taper.
It's a Seiko automatic, the accuracy of this movement is great.
I like to watch the smooth second hand movement, better than, jerky quartz movements.
It seems very reliable and feels rugged.
It is water proof, (Yes, I also shower naked with mine) :)
And most of all I like the value, for an automatic watch with Tritium.

Yes it cost twice more, than my Seiko Orange Monster, but the Borealis Scout Sniper comes with Tritium tubes, 24mm wider lugs, a metal band and if that's not enough to justify, it also looks twice as nice :)

My Scout Sniper came in last Wed.

Yesterday, found some time to resize the bracelet.

Pic of it on my 6.25" wrist.

Overall, my Scout Sniper is better than similar size & price range Obris Morgan Explorer II and Orient M-Force Beast.

Just one small problem though ...

One of the link pins had found to be bended a bit out of shape (during manufacturer's assembly) and I have some difficulties removing it. Anyway, I have no need for it as I had removed 4 links. So I still have 3 left.

The wide band on your picture, "SimpleWatchMan", looks good and seems to wears nice on your smaller wrist. I can't get over how much more elegant 'wide' watch bands look, plus the two(2) tones is just icing on the cake.
I am not familiar with the watches you mentioned, but do they include Tritium, this SS is a great value for all the features, plus, as "TheWraith" said, "Rest assured your watch has a top notch engine running it".
I am very happy with mine.

Thanks.
The other 2 watches I compared with are refering to their overall looks and value. Both are not tritium watches.

I do have a Ball Fireman Victory Silver dial though ...

I too have a Ball, Ball watch that is, an Aviator, that was what started me on Tritium watches.
Even thou I can read my SS(Scout Sniper) at any time at night, my Aviator has more lume but it also cost 5 times more. My SS is my go to, everyday watch, I love it.

My first Borealis watch was a black dial Sea Dragon, which I do like, except for the crown.
After the SD, I purchased the Scout Sniper, just to have a Tritium tube watch.
The SS is now one of my favourites, love everything about it. Wish the SD had a crown similar to the SS

I went to order the Scout Sniper the other night, and to my dismay it said it was Out of Stock, They were in stock a few wks ago when I was looking at it. Do you if they will make more of these watches? I tried to contact Borealis, using the contact us link, but no reply.
