Just ordered my Sea Diver

I finally pulled the trigger on the Sea Diver. I love the simplistic look. I can also dress it up or dress it down. The only thing is I really dislike the strap that comes with it. I ended up getting one of the black rubber straps to go on it but I can't decide on another leather strap for it.

Should I go light brown, or dark brown?

Show a wrist shot Sir, I think that would look good on a dark brown strap or even better a mesh bracelet.

After I took my photos yesterday of my new arrival I put the watch away for the night. I put the watch on this morning to notice there was something on the Bezel. I tried to wipe it off and when I did, the enamel in the 0 of the 20 started flaking out. I also noticed that what I thought was something stuck on it was a pretty big ding and there were a bunch of other scratches in the area.

I did not wear this watch yet at all except to take pictures of it yesterday so I am absolutely positive that I did not bang it on anything. Even if I did brush it up on something, there is no way that the enamel should have flaked out how it did.

Anyway, I just sent an email off to the company to see if they can do anything about it. I am not hopeful because it looks like the damage was from watch wear, even though I am completely convinced that I received it in this condition. Just cross your fingers for me!

Here are some pics of the watch:

I heard back from Maria at Borealis and she is going to look into sending me a new bezel! Keep your fingers crossed that it works out for me.

Seems like they have some pretty good customer service at Borealis! I will definitely recommend these watches based on the customer service interactions I have had.

Dear Rob,

Purpose of forum is not to discuss issues as those are to be dealt directly between customer and company.

We have replied promptly to your emails and offered a solution though usually issue you refer to is not covered by warranty as watch arrived in pristine condition.

PS: on a separate forum you posted up photos of watch you received where no scratches or missing ink in bezel exists.

Hi Maria,

I deleted my post because I agree that I do not want to send out the wrong impressions about the watch. I love it. I will deal directly with you.
