I have been waiting for a GMT watches....but I cant seem to find one in Borealis range. PLEASE Borealis make some.....Really love those combination Rolex and Tudor design...Have it with the following specs:

1. Titanium bracelet
2. Ceramic bezel
3. adjustable or something like Rolex glidelock would be awesome! or even like Tudor.

With all the above....I am sure in....

Titanium bracelet specially if T5 is very hard to make as all CNC made. Expect such bracelet to cost over $200.00 USD
Oh yeah....but I am sure if Steinhart is able to do it (with their new Ocean 500 TT) which is priced at Euro $500 (that including Swiss movement), I am sure you guys can do it too?? Of course GMT complication will cost a little more. Honestly if Borealis can make this priced between $500-600 it's good enough.

A GMT even in stainless steel would be most welcome. It's something I've been calling for for some time now.
Oh yes......it's just I think there are sooooooo many Rolex GMT homages out there with the usual steel ....like Steinhart, Squale, and Davosa Ternos (just to name a few)...Having a different titanium and brush or matte will make it unique. (hopefully away from the merc hands too....would prefer the snowflake).

At the moment there are not many GMT movements available in market. Hopefully Seiko will release soon a GMT movement based on the NH36 / 4R36 series.
yup...I am looking forward to it....Hopefully it will be like Rolex/Tudor type GMT design...(Pepsi or Vintage type would be nice).

Do agree with all above comments and wishes... Except for "snow flake hands", debate has begun, project is ongoing ! Good news then.

I would be interested to see what Borealis has to offer in a GMT watch. Not right away though still need to put money together for the Batial & Seafarer II.

I would like to see an affordable watch with a GMT complication where the quickset is on the main hour hand instead of the GMT hand. This is much more useful for travel than the ones where the quickset is on the GMT hand.

I completely agree, to the point where I will not buy a GMT watch with a quickset GMT hand. If you want to use the watch for traveling, quickset main hour hand is the only option that makes sense (After all, the GMT hand should stay on GMT (or your own home time) no matter where you are. :)

Any references to Seiko making one? Can't find anything on google...

There is also the option of a Seiko Kinetic GMT movement, which is currently the only affordable GMT movement with quickset hour hand. Unfortunately all of Seiko's offerings with that movement are huge and not very elegant. Would love it if a micro brand would use that Kinetic movement...

I quote this 100%.
I did have a Steinhart with the stupid ETA 2893 and sold it, totally useless when traveling.
I do hope that Seiko will be smart enough to do it as they did with the SUN Kinetic.

I'm totally with you on that.

I long for a watch with quickset hour hand for travels. One that I don't fear loosing when going abroad, too, so Omega PO, or Rolex GMT are out... The 2893-2, well I have it in the Steinhart Ocean Vintage GMT... and it's not easier for travels than any ordinary watch (useful for working with colleagues living in different time zones, though).

So, Mr. Seiko, please, oh pretty please... do a "real GMT" version of the 4R3x !!!!!

40mm, white dial.

Much like this:

Preferably this one without the crown guards and with domed crystal and red tipped GMT hand. Also with roulette date wheel.

Yeah if that seiko kinetic movement made it into a more classically sized/styled design I would be all over it. In this case I don't mind that its a quartz movement. I know I'm not getting a proper GMT movement that is auto unless I get a Rolex or Omega.

Agree! But 40mm please which is the classic size! Lads of 42 mm GMT homages already exist (Steinhart, Squale, etc). But no 40mm which is the classic size. And with a stainless steel bezel option please.

actually, I'm going to step back from recommending the 2893 and offer the Hangzhou 6460. These movements are cheap, available, and by all accounts indistinguishable from a modified ETA 2836 unless you really, really know what to look for.

I've been in the market for a GMT watch and have spent many hours reading over the last month, and in all honesty it seems like people have less complaints about the 2836/6460 than they do the 2893. In the majority of pictures you see of 2893 powered watches the GMT hand is out of sync. The only complaint I've heard about the 2836, and occurring with much less frequency than 2893 complaints, is that a very small number of owners have had the GMT hand stop working altogether. Not that big an issue for a problem that is very rare and with a movement that is available and cheap, just replace the movement.

I would not let a Hangzhou movement deter me. By all accounts this is a really nice movement.
