As a WIS, I obviously love them all but I would have to say that I have a weakness for casual dress style watches from the formal side up to casual such as Pams or a nice Zenith el primero with leather straps. Clean white dials with blue hands and gen croc blue leather strap gotta love it!
Divers will be around forever and it's a good thing but also a trend at micro brands that will eventually fade. Time to produce different styles. I think Magrette are doing a great job in that department with their latest two models like the Leoncino for example.
Parnis 44mm Pilot I just finished modding/ putting together today… Love the light weight/ slimness and the legibility of the dial… I also noticed when I bought my diver watch there is a clickable button for Pilot watches on the web site and yet none for sale? Will Borealis ever make/ sale a Pilot watch?
I have a few chronos and dress watches, but I always come back to my divers. I like the look, and the rotating bezel is very handy for quickly timing random things.
I like diver's watches because I can use it in my swimming, snorkeling and diving adventures.
Pilot watches? Don't know how to fly a plane. But I own a vintage pilot Steiny though.
Divers are great, dress watches most practical for my work, but the overall winner for me is a good sport watch. Made tough, passable with a suit/under the cuff, some water resistance (100m) and understated details. Think a nice Damasko.
