As the title says which one of this watches would you choose (money aside equation)?

  • Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique 5015

  • Breitling Avenger II Seawolf

  • Oris TT1 1000m

Fifty Fathoms. 2nd choice would be Breitling. Not a huge Rolex fan, but the DSSD is very nice.

Oris TT1. Was deciding between the Oris and the Grand Seiko, but then saw the Seiko is only 200m (??). I would need it to actually dive with, so that doesn't really work..

Really? From everything I've read 150 is comfortable for swimming and you can dive with 200, but its maybe a little risky. That does make more sense that the Seiko is ISO certified though. I would've expected that watch to actually be able to dive.

Would you dive with any 200m or only if they're ISO? Just curious because I trust you, ha. From all your posts I've been really impressed with your general knowledge of watches.

If money means nothing to everyone, than the Seiko would be my choice...
If money means something to other people, than the Rolex would get the most respect from them...
If this is maybe hinting at doing an homage, than my pick would be the Omega as there are far too many Rolex and Seiko homages already available.

Currently there are no plans on making a homage of this watches, it is really a open discussion as would like forum to be diverse and open to all topics related with watches.

Yeah definitely not doing any saturation diving ha. Do you know if they have to pass either an ISO test or some version of it in order to put 200m on the dial? Is it possible for a company to just stick 200m on the dial without it being strictly tested?

Well didn't expect it to be $7000 ha, but I knew it would be expensive which is why I would have been surprised to find it wasn't good to dive with. Thanks for the info!

Money still aside, now I would go back to my first choice of the Grand Seiko.

Well actually the Seiko is the one ISO certified. For a watch to bear the name DIVER'S in dial has to be ISO Certified.

For small watch brands as our and many other micro brands it is almost impossible to get it ISO certified as costs would be huge due to small quantity produced. Nevertheless we test our watches during assembly.

It's a very tough call, but I'd have to go with the DSSD. They're just so well built and over-engineered. I do love that Seiko a lot, though. The Blancpain as well.
