My black/modern arrived last week while I was away on vacation. I will pick it up tomorrow morning and I am looking forward to getting it on my wrist. I will post some pics tomorrow...

I got my black dial, modern hands Scorpionfish on Monday, Aug. 17. It is running a consistent +4 sec./day over the first two days. One spec. I haven't seen before is the weight of the SF. I weighed mine, and it's 224.4 grams, with all the links. So it's hefty, but not the brick one might expect for a 2000 m watch. For those with small wrists, don't despair. Mine looks just fine on my 6.5 inch wrist. One problem I had, though, was the bracelet was slightly large even with all four removable links removed, and the micro adjustment on the clasp all taken in. This caused the case to cantilever off my wrist, on the down side. The following photos. show the problem, and my solution. Sorry about the repeats. I don't know why that happened!View attachment 442 View attachment 442 View attachment 443 View attachment 443 Largely for this reason, I put mine on a Watchadoo, and it looks great on that, too.
Ed P.,

I got my White/Plongeur just last night and tried to size the bracelet for my skinny 6.3" wrist, and guess what! It did not work! Even with all 4 removable links removed, the bracelet is still about 3/4" too large for me. My suggestion to Maria is for the next project, please provide four additional removable links (two at each end) to accommodate folks like me with stick-like wrists. Thanks in advance!

This is my only "beef" with my Scorpionfish diver. It is a beautiful piece of work and the whole Borealis Team ought to be proud of this creation. This watch has exceeded my expectation and it is packed with value, and I have received praises from a couple of my coworkers.

The watch has gained 7 seconds in the last 24-hours (quite acceptable) with normal activities which means desk diving at the office. Ha, Ha! :)

Thanks Maria and your team for a job well done, and I am looking forward to the next project.......

I had to change to another watch tonight (they wear growing jealous...) but took one last pic of the SF before putting it back in its box for a few weeks!!!

I'll be getting a rubber strap for my Scorpionfish, too. As with Chant, even with all the links removed, the bracelet is still a little looser than I normally prefer. I was able to achieve a perfectly tight fit with my Seahawk, but not with this one. There needed to be some more removable (half) links on the bracelet before putting it into production. Also, the crown is very wobbly when fully extended and for a diver/tool watch, it probably should have had crown guards.

Otherwise it's a great watch, keeps excellent time, and I enjoy owning/wearing it. Will be even better once I get it tighter on the wrist with a different strap. Shame, though, as I normally prefer a steel bracelet for watches like these.

TheWraith,

I am making do with a two year old dark brown leather strap with white stitching for now. I am considering getting either an iso-frame style rubber strap or a SS mesh bracelet.

Please let me know what you ended up getting.

Thanks

Have been wearing my Scorpionfish 24/7 for the last two weeks straight. No issues at all.
Still can't stop looking at it !
The lume on the hour hand was a bit weak in comparison to all the other lume, minute hand, indices, and bezel, etc, but have since gotten used to it. It lasts and is visible throughout the night.
Am not really a bracelet person, but wanted a more homage look, so have been using it on my Kata bracelet. Really love the look and comfort.

Regards,

Hi Chant

I'll probably be going with a rubber Hirsh strap I like the look of. Hopefully soon...
TheWraith,

Thanks for getting back to me. For now, I am still looking something that is water resistant like a proper rubber/silicon diver's strap or a two-tone (black/orange) NATO. For now, I am wearing my White/Plongeur with a thick leather strap from my Citizen Grand Touring.

Thanks

Mine is on an orange BC 321 with upgraded buckle. The lume has a lttle less longevity than I'd hoped for and the accuracy, while within specs, is not as good as other watches with Miyota 9015 I've owned, +14 seconds per day. Considering the price, these shortcomings are a bit nit-picky.

Hirsh rubber straps are fully water proof.

Hi TheWraith,

I have placed my order a couple of days ago on two NATO/Zulu from the Strap Code: One grey/red, and the second one is thick military green with matte black rings.

Pictures to follow......

Update: my SF has been faultless!! Since I received this gem it has been on my wrist everyday, sometimes sharing in a daily rotation but ON the wrist in some way. Over the month it has gained 25 seconds, very acceptable to me and I'm happy to say unlike other SF owners, my bezel action, crown, lume and hex screws etc were ALL perfect. This watch, brand and service has helped alter the way I look at Watches. Great quality at prices everyone can afford. Thanks Maria and Borealis, I definitely look forward to my next purchase. Unfortunately I had to send my watch back to Portugal for repair. The seconds hand stops running at the 30 seconds marker. Now Maria will take good care of it! Besides this small issue I absolutely love this watch!!!
