Ed P.,I got my black dial, modern hands Scorpionfish on Monday, Aug. 17. It is running a consistent +4 sec./day over the first two days. One spec. I haven't seen before is the weight of the SF. I weighed mine, and it's 224.4 grams, with all the links. So it's hefty, but not the brick one might expect for a 2000 m watch. For those with small wrists, don't despair. Mine looks just fine on my 6.5 inch wrist. One problem I had, though, was the bracelet was slightly large even with all four removable links removed, and the micro adjustment on the clasp all taken in. This caused the case to cantilever off my wrist, on the down side. The following photos. show the problem, and my solution. Sorry about the repeats. I don't know why that happened!View attachment 442 View attachment 442 View attachment 443 View attachment 443 Largely for this reason, I put mine on a Watchadoo, and it looks great on that, too.
TheWraith,I'll be getting a rubber strap for my Scorpionfish, too. As with Chant, even with all the links removed, the bracelet is still a little looser than I normally prefer. I was able to achieve a perfectly tight fit with my Seahawk, but not with this one. There needed to be some more removable (half) links on the bracelet before putting it into production. Also, the crown is very wobbly when fully extended and for a diver/tool watch, it probably should have had crown guards.
Otherwise it's a great watch, keeps excellent time, and I enjoy owning/wearing it. Will be even better once I get it tighter on the wrist with a different strap. Shame, though, as I normally prefer a steel bracelet for watches like these.
TheWraith,Hi Chant
I'll probably be going with a rubber Hirsh strap I like the look of. Hopefully soon...
Hirsh rubber straps are fully water proof.TheWraith,
Thanks for getting back to me. For now, I am still looking something that is water resistant like a proper rubber/silicon diver's strap or a two-tone (black/orange) NATO. For now, I am wearing my White/Plongeur with a thick leather strap from my Citizen Grand Touring.
Thanks
CHANT
