    How many...?

Hmm.. I thought this was an interesting idea, but now I'm starting to reconsider my Hamilton.. I could buy 18 of these for around the same price. http://www.amazon.com/Nicolas-Cage-Pillowcase-Covers-Standard/dp/B00AA870UK Which would you guys choose? For reference:

Which one of this diver watches would you choose (money aside)?

Yeah definitely not doing any saturation diving ha. Do you know if they have to pass either an ISO test or some version of it in order to put 200m on the dial? Is it possible for a company to just stick 200m on the dial without it being strictly tested? Well didn't expect it to be $7000 ha, but...

Which one of this diver watches would you choose (money aside)?

Really? From everything I've read 150 is comfortable for swimming and you can dive with 200, but its maybe a little risky. That does make more sense that the Seiko is ISO certified though. I would've expected that watch to actually be able to dive. Would you dive with any 200m or only if...

Which one of this diver watches would you choose (money aside)?

Oris TT1. Was deciding between the Oris and the Grand Seiko, but then saw the Seiko is only 200m (??). I would need it to actually dive with, so that doesn't really work..

    Hand made leather strap

Wow not bad at all, especially for first time. I've never made a strap before, but I know I couldn't do that well.. What materials? Did you freehand the whole thing? And of course, what watch is that going on? (pics or it didn't happen)

    Three watches

Alpina Pilot LE Melbourne Portsea SS And the Halios Tropik SS And then a bunch more watches cause I've only spent 3500-4000. Probably the Steinhart Nav-B Bronze 44mm next. Sorry, I'm bad at this game. Just because it costs a bunch of money doesn't mean its worth it.

What is your favorite type of watch?

Ok I'll post a picture anyway, found an old one on my computer with one of my favorite books. Once again I really like the simplistic, clean dial. I mean I definitely like other watches that don't have clean dials, but I do tend to naturally gravitate towards these.

What is your favorite type of watch?

It was just a Parnis Pilot, and I would, but before I moved to China I gave it to a friend who wasn't into watches at all and loved that one. So no more pilot.. It was one of my cheapest watches, but one of my favorites.

Do you believe smart watches will replace mechanical watches in future?

@Borealis I don't think quartz will take that big of a hit because people only realize quartz has no soul when they start getting deep in the rabbit hole that is watch enthusiasm. At the beginning of WISdom, which is where some people choose to stay forever, the only difference they see between...

Do you believe smart watches will replace mechanical watches in future?

Smart watches are about to explode in popularity which makes me sad for some reasons, but I understand why they will be far more popular than mechanical. Mechanical started becoming a niche market as soon as the quartz watches were introduced. With the introduction of cell phones into the public...

What is your favorite type of watch?

I didn't know they were coming out with a white? I know of the blue and the black, but I wish this were on my list of the next three. Alas I am a but a poor college student in China, ha. Its the simplicity of this one that gets me. Its actually what drew me to the Sea Diver. I had actually...

    Vostok Help?

Thats true, but taobao is a whole different beast than ebay that I am still figuring out ha. I'm kinda hoping to find a local watchshop anyway to start a relationship with as I'll be here for 4 years at least. Thanks for the idea of just replacing the whole movement! I never thought of that...

Best affordable watch on brass/bronze case

Older thread, but one I'm interested in. Just found this brand that I've never heard of, anyone know anything about it? Brass for $300? It kinda looks like another watch I've heard of, but I think thats just a coincidence.
