Fingers crossed for the strap then. But again I have a few leather straps in 24mm laying around so I should be fine. I still find the looks of the Borealis strap is neat and the buckle looks great. But I suppose I can mount it on any straight 24mm strap.
Looks wonderful!!!
Thanks for the pics, I was borderline having buyers remorse on this one and really was on the verge to send a mail to change for the black version... But you've got me settled, I'm happy with having ordered the blue one!!!
The only thing is, I really hope that the straps on...
Well, I guess you can by a better watch for the money...
but not much much better. And that better watch will be a Borealis too! Like at the moment I'm wearing my nicely patina'd (all natural) Batial on the orange Borealis rubber... And my, what a great watch too!
And it lasts better, I'd say. In the first few minutes C3 is clearly brighter. After half an hour, there's a match. And 3 or 4 hours later, BGW9 outshines its brother.
As for time keeping, mine has arrived one week ago and it's lost 17 second over that period. So it loses about 2.5 second a...
When resizing your bracelet, be careful, guys!
Indeed, yesterday I decided to try with one less link, see how it would go. When detaching the clasp from the bracelet, the spring bar did jump out of my grasp (and I couldn't find it again, it's probably fallen between two floorboards). Anyway, I...
That was what I had understood. And to be honest, if there's a one degree deviation it's the maximum... And really, as it's minute, it can only be seen when looking directly at it. I can more than easily live with it, and it might even come as a plus, since it's making my watch unique!!!
Thanks...
And it's arrived!!!
The bezel has the tiniest bit of misalignment with the dial, but really nothing bad given the depth of the dial. Your really have to look at it spot on in the axis to see it.
Other than that, it's pretty damn perfect!
So it's replaced the Estoril on my wrist (at least for...
Might be replaced (for a while) by the Orange/Blue SeaFarer II tomorrow (I should pick it from the post office in the morning), but still rocking the Estoril and very much liking it!!!
And it's slowed down a bit, now it's only gaining 3.5 seconds a day (moving from decent to good... may still...
It's a vintage strap. I bought it off eBay a number of years ago, possibly with a vintage dive watch (but I'm not really sure). Super supple, but tappers possibly a bit too much for 21st century standards...
You might have some luck searching for "vintage tropic" or some similar string. But I...
I've eventually put it on the Tropic I had planned for it from the time of the pre-order... Took a few days for that, as the nato is really very nice (and works perfectly for the Estoril).
Here it is... a very good match, methinks!
Still on the nato (it's very nice, with the sole problem being that given my 8 inch wrist it's a tad too short for me to be able to loop the strap back in the last metal retainer).
But I'll soon try it on my vintage tropic. Should work quite well with that.
Same here... invoice received... and paid!
Now the wait! I'm super stoked and really happy to see that the Orange/Blue models are first (I had a blue Big Triangle Estoril, so I got my invoice among the last ones ;) ) so this time I got lucky!
I clearly prefer your latest, the shark mesh. This one look very nice, too, with the flattened surface!
I'm planing on wearing mine on an admiralty grey Nato, and alternate with an old tropic I have that would be a great match, I think... Pure vintage feel!
More about that next week (or...
Just guessing, but Maria is sending the invoices and then shipping the pre-ordered blue pieces at the moment, so I guess that your order will have to wait until she's done. I suppose that she has treated new orders at the same time as the pre-orders when they were for same models, but doesn't...
Not sure for Canada, but last Borealis I got by slow post, the tracking was working (not perfectly once in France, but that's the French Post defining feature : it's not perfect!)
