Coming along nicely & I'm sure will be worth the wait. I do appreciate the updates as they are available.

Maria - did you change your mind and decide to taper it to 20mm? I hope not!

Bracelet will taper from 24mm to 22mm. Problem with tapering from 24mm to 20mm is that then it won't be easy to ajdust bracelet and people with small wrists will complain (something that happened with the Scorpionfish).

With a 24mm bracelet tapering to 22mm all 22mm links can have screws and be added/removed.

Is there any way to search this thread? Trying to find something (in this case the info about the 15% discount code) takes 30 minutes.

Just received photos of the Borealis Seafarer II prototype (bear in mind the minute hand won't be this one factory is waiting for hand to be ready).

Yummy!!!
The turbine bezel is really looking good, and so do the colours. Maybe the orange on the hand could pop more and be a tad lighter, but keeping in mind that these are not the final hands, I'd say wait and see on that point.

The turbine bezel really looks great !
However, I must say that I am disappointed with the hands, not just the minute hand, which I know they are working on ....
Even the hour hand looks very skinny in these new pics .... nothing like in the original renders, I'm afraid ! (n)
Maybe it's just me, but the hands definitely lack impact.
Colours look great, though......

I agree, both hour and minute hands are too small. The bezel print doesn't look as sharp as it could be. And finally, the 6, 9, and 12 have the lil pip printed instead of being one piece with the rest of the stainless steel marker, could that be change?

Some of the guys on watchuseek agree that both hands, not just the minute hand, are too small. The case is large, the crown (looks like the Poseidon's) is large, the hour markers are fairly large circles but those hands just don't look right on there.

Agreed both hours and minutes hands look a bit too small, but I reckon that the impact of the minute hand (which is absolutely minuscule) may play a role in our perception of the hours hand size...
It needs to be checked with the new minutes hand before rushing to change the hours hand, methinks. Or not... ;)

I praise members for posting with passion on what they think of project.

To update on project:

  • we are also improving hour hands
As for the dial it is not possible to have a metal insert at 12, 6, 9. Markers are too small to accomodate a metal insert with this shape | .

Maria - is the bracelet tapering to 22mm or 20mm? Can you please respond? Thanks.
